The beginning lines weren’t delivered well nor was the acting convincing. Reggie sounded so nervous delivering his lines. I know Marcus and Mike intimidated you before Reggie but you should be over that by now. Although the two bad boys did snap out of it their crew in AMMO never fully developed.   On September 3 rd it was reported that Robert Pattinson had tested positive for Covid-19 and was beginning to self-isolate. This came within the first week that filming for The Batman was allowed to restart since the Coronavirus pandemic shutdown everything earlier this year. Unstoppable ‘Don't get sentimental on me, makes me think I'm gonna die’ – Frank When deciding what movie to watch I stumbled upon action movie Unstoppable (2010). I decided to watch it because I assumed it would be about a train that would run out of track, and intended to add the film to my growing list of movies that suggest Los Angeles needs to finished their motorways.   Not only is Unstoppable not set in LA but the problem is they have a vast lengths train tracks and not enough time to stop a runaway train carrying mass amounts of organic compound, Phenol.  So, newly acquainted veteran and rookie pair of train engineers, Frank Barnes and Will Colson (Denzel Washington and Chris Pine) take it upon themselves to stop it. ‘Running ain’t freedom. You know that.’ – Dom As someone with limited knowledge and interested in the Fast and Furious , I didn’t think highly of the franchise. With eight films out and two more in the works, it’s not hard to assume that quality isn’t their focal point. However,  Fast Five appears to be one of the better instalments from the speed racing franchise. In this film we are introduced to Dwayne Johnson’s character Luke Hobbs as he tracks down Dominic Toretto’s street racing crew to Brazil in order to arrest them for their crimes in America. Initially we are led to believe that Hobbs is a character that takes pride in the team around him since he handpicks Elena Neves as his translator because he believes she can’t be bought. We could even call him well informed, but when Neves presents her own reasoned and accurate insight to help track down Toretto and his family, her input is literally thrown away. In Final Score former American soldier Mike Knox travels to London to take his niece to a West Ham game but ends up being caught up in the reemergence of a Russian revolution. This film is a part of Sky’s plan to create original films that their customers can watch on demand and at the cinema at the same time. Although the company has produced some interesting film projects with star studded casts, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile springing to mind first, Final Score is one their least innovative. For the most part Dave Bautista gives a typical portrayal of a macho military man but there are moments that an emotional side is shown such as when Knox becomes visibly upset at his downfalls as an uncle to his former comrades daughter in his quest to protect the stadium.  Sl...

Without any star studded or known characters and an overload of fast unskilful driving, Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift is the directionless third part of the lucrative franchise. Due to getting into trouble with the police yet again Sean Boswell is sent to Tokyo to live with his father. Quickly, he gravitates towards the street racing scene in Japan and ends up on the wrong side of a notorious gang. After waiting for half an hour to see a familiar face, I gave up realising that Lucas Black’s unconvincing portrayal of a high school student was all I was going to get. Even Bow Wow’s funny and stereotypical character wasn’t enough for me to enjoy the film or take any interest in its protagonists. Street driving takes back the focus that was lost to crime fitting in 2 Fast 2 Furious but becomes uninteresting, once learning that Sean’s skillset only consists of accelerating and destroying vehicles. Across the film there was an overuse of close up shots where a two shot would have suited. The focus on characters faces exposes the lack of intensity behind their action along with making it difficult to see the connection between characters. Another thing hard to look at was the clone of Henry. ‘A him gets noticed, a her gets ignored and for once we want to be ignored.’ – Debbie Ocean A few months ago, I had binged watched Ocean’s 11, 12 & 13 and the franchise quickly rose and dropped from one of my favourites; however I was still more than intrigued to see the new sequel to the film. I must admit I’m not necessarily on board with the new idea of remaking films with an all female cast to create equality but as Ghostbusters (2016) was quite an entertaining film and the cast includes a plethora of notable women, I stilled wanted to see it.   The film was quite good, providing an unlikely group of con artists, continuously out smarting the audience and evoking at lot of laughter in the jam packed cinema. Regardless of gender Warner Bros. Pictures has been able to bring together a cast with a lot of star power to the screen and I liked seeing people like Mindy Kaling in somewhat of a different role.
